Initially, GCC plant had been designed for a clinker production capacity of 3300 tons per day 1 million tons per year.

Subsequently, as a result of the modification programme, the production output of the clinker has been successfully increased to 4100 tons per day 1.3 million tons yearly - the first production line.

Also In 2005 GCC signed a contract to have second production line of clinker with a capacity of 7500 tons/day.

The total GCC capabilities:

• Clinker Production - 11600 tons/day
• Cement Grinding - 2.7 million tons/year
• Clinker Storage - 130,000 tons
• Cement Storage - 70,000 tons
• Loaders - 2400 bag/hour
• Power Generation - 27.25 MW
• Coal Grinding - 28 tons/h

GCC is a Multi-fuel system.
